What is Tier 1 Skilled Visa?
The Tier 1 HSMP Visa is a point based system for skilled immigration to UK. You qualify for points in areas such as your education, recent earnings and your age. At present the pass mark for a successful UK HSMP Visa application is 75 points.
HSMP is "Highly Skilled Migrant Programme". From the 29th February 2008, all HSMP applications from candidates already living and working in the UK will be submitted under Tier 1 of the new Points Based System (PBS) for managed migration to the UK.
